Since it was time for the art students to begin working on the Spring 2013 Charette, Mrs. Dersch wanted up to brainstorm up any words that relates to this semester's theme: Homage. First we looked up the definition of homage. Homage is when you are paying your respects or tributing acknowledgement to an important person. So one by one, the class listed off words such as:
- honor
- paying honor
- symbols
- sacrifice
- elders
- monogamy
- progeny
- memento
- immortality
- elevation
- revolution
- memorial
- devotion
- tributes
- music
- progress
- history
- senior citizens
- ancient civilizations
- dedication
- inspirations
- peace
- suffering
- royalty
- worship
- future
- love
- spiritual faith
- effigy
- cognition
- pedestal
- renaissance
- devine, etc
At the end of class, each person chose four words out of the cluster of brainstorms. My choices were honor, future, progress, and music.
